BAG & PAD WORK
Service Description
I am a 16th generation lineage holder of the San Feng Sect Daoist name 陈行资博 CHEN XING ZI BO. I have been qualified to teach the following courses internationally, spreading the message and philosophy of Daoist internal health disciplines under direct lineage of the Zhang San Feng sect in Wudang China. Heavy bag and pad work are essential tools for athletes in combat sports—not just for striking power, but for developing the myofascial system, which links muscles, tendons, and fascia into long kinetic chains across the body. When striking a bag or pad, you're not just using isolated muscles. You're training full-body coordination: power begins in the ground, travels through the legs and hips, spirals through the torso, and is expressed through the fists, elbows, knees, or feet. This pathway is known as a myofascial chain—a connected system that stores and transfers elastic energy. Each punch, kick, or strike activates posterior, anterior, lateral, and spiral lines of fascia. Properly timed movements during pad or bag work train these lines to work in harmony, creating fluid, powerful, and efficient strikes. Over time, this improves: Explosive power and speed Structural alignment under force Elastic recoil and energy return Injury resistance during high-impact motion Neuromuscular timing and reflexive control Moreover, the feedback from hitting a bag or pad helps the nervous system fine-tune how force is generated and absorbed—refining proprioception, core engagement, and breath-timing, all critical for fight performance. In short, consistent bag and pad work isn’t just about hitting harder—it's about building myofascial intelligence for more effective, efficient, and adaptable striking.
